Job Description:
The Salon and Spa Programs Instructor would instruct students in specific licensed areas in the Personal Enhancement Industry. Programs that Erie 1 BOCES currently offers are Barbering, Cosmetology, Esthetics and Waxing.
The Spa and Salon Instructor applies their knowledge and incorporates those skills into teaching the students the theory and hands-on skills required to apply and pass the New York State Board exams in the specific licensed area.
Must hold a current NYS License in Barber, Cosmetology and or Esthetics
A minimum of 5 years of work experience in a specific licensed area
Previous training/teaching experience preferred but not required
