Location: Erie 1 BOCES Workforce Development Center North Campus Cheektowaga, NY
Hourly Rate: $31/hr
Schedule: We are hiring two instructors for this position. One for the daytime class and one for the evening class. Daytime Class: Monday - Thursday from 8:00am - 2:00pm
Evening Class: Monday - Thursday from 3:00pm - 9:00pm
Position Start Date: This is a seasonal position offered from July 6, 2026 - October 29, 2026 with a start date of June 15, 2026.
Job Description: The Cosmetology Instructor would instruct students who graduated from a BOCES CTE Cosmetology program during high school but did not complete 1000 hours. These students are eligible to enroll at Workforce Development to complete their hours. The Cosmetology Instructor applies their knowledge and incorporates those skills into teaching the students the NYS curriculum, including theory and hands-on skills required to apply and pass the New York State Board exam.
Must hold a current NYS Cosmetology License with 5 years of experience as a cosmetologist
Training/teaching experience preferred but not required
