Position Title:
Senior Data Processing Control Clerk

Job Responsibilities:

Software Support, Data entry and stipend processing, record maintenance in eSchool & Frontline.

Specific Duties: (Illustrative only; not inclusive)

  1. Provides software support and troubleshooting of the eSchool data including student intakes, registration, and Google Classroom sync functionalities. 
  2. Responsible for data entry and processing of all Frontline Professional Growth Management to include:
    1. Focus Groups
    2. Committees 
    3. Staff Development 
    4. Professional Learning 
    5. Externships 
    6. Stipends 
  3. Data processing of staff professional learning and collaboration within Frontline Professional Growth Management system. 
  4. Processes summer curriculum and committee hours including payroll. 
  5. Supports all Instructional Services NYS K-12 assessments including Regents and performance examinations. 
  6. Collaborates with Technology Coordinator to process all software purchases across Instructional Services. 
  7. Assures that records of data submitted for processing are accurate and complete. 
  8. Supports Instructional Services Coordinators as staff as needed in staff development preparations. 
  9. Assists in developing new procedures to improve data processes. 
  10. Performs other duties as assigned that are relevant to the civil service job description for this title.

Job Qualifications

Minimum Civil Service Qualifications:

Must hold permanent status as a Senior Data Processing Control Clerk or be reachable on current Senior Data Processing Control Clerk list; or meet minimum qualifications for a provisional appointment as follows:

A) Completion of two (2) years of study at a regionally accredited or New York State registered two (2) or four (4) year college and two (2) years of office or clerical experience, at least one (1) year of which involved the operation of data processing equipment or the clerical processing of computer input or output;or:

B) Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and four (4) years of office or clerical experience, at least one (1) year of which involved the operation of data processing equipment or the clerical processing of computer input or output; or:

C) An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B).

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work well with others on a team in a busy environment.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Knowledge of Excel spreadsheets.

  • Tech savviness preferred.
