Job Description:
- Analyzes current systems and processes involved with System Access and works with the appropriate teams to adjust and improve system changes and system onboarding for new-hires and employee changes.
- Responsible for new user inventory deployment, coordination, assignments and changes.
- Installs, customizes, and maintains various software applications.
- Works directly with supervisors with any potential issues that arise during System Access process.
- Provides application and operating system training, support and instruction to WNYRIC personnel.
- Develops procedure manuals for technical and non-technical users to aid in processing application software programs.
- Organizes and prepares system documentation and procedures.
- Performs hardware and software evaluations and provides management with written and oral recommendations.
- Configure and support peripheral software and/or hardware for supported applications.
- Assists with VOIP phone configuration and deployment for WNYRIC staff.
- Supports and maintains communications software (used to connect to the enterprise server, dial ups, et. al.). Provides related user training for such applications.
- Undertakes physical activities such as keyboarding, lifting, driving a motor vehicle, and tasks related to the installation, troubleshooting and support for computer devices.
- Generates network help desk problem calls as required. Follows-up on and closes all assigned calls.
- Maintains communications with supervisors and team members (electronic mail, voice mail, cell phone, etc.)
- Makes recommendations to improve processes and Standard issued equipment based on observation and communication with various teams.

- Job Qualifications
Minimum Civil Service Qualifications:
A) Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered four (4) year college or university with a Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of data processing experience in vendor supplied operating systems software programming and/or maintenance; OR;
B) Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered two (2) or four (4) year college or university with an Associate’s degree in Data Processing, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field and four (3) years of data processing experience in vendor supplied operating systems software programming and/or maintenance; OR;
C) Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and six (5) years of data processing experience, at least three (3) years of which involved computer programming with at least two (2) years in vendor supplied operating systems software programming and/or maintenance; OR;
D) An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A), (B), and (C).
Additional Qualifications:
- Applicants must be experienced working with ticketing systems Familiarity with Windows, MAC OS/iOS, and PC operation is mandatory
- Knowledge of basic Windows PC troubleshooting and other technologies a plus
- Candidate must have strong customer service and communications skills in addition to research and documentation skills
- Must possess a valid NYS driver license and reliable car transportation
