Job Responsibilities: 

  • Monitors and processes forms in SchoolFront for hiring new employees
  • Conducts offers of employment after verifying eligibility
  • Monitors Tenure for certified staff
  • Monitors Certification for certified staff
  • Assists with Onboarding new hires as necessary
  • Monitors and process Independent Employee Agreement Employees including presenting to the Board of Education for approval
  • Prepares personnel agenda for Board of Education meeting monthly
  • Tracks Annual Training Acknowledgment completions for organization
  • Coordinates the flow of incoming information and directs it to appropriate personnel
  • Coordinates workflow between divisions for payroll
  • Other duties as assigned that are relevant to the civil service job description for this title

Job Qualifications

Minimum Civil Service Qualifications:

Must be reachable on the current Junior Personnel Specialist civil service list 87-701, or; Must meet minimum qualifications for a provisional appointment as follows:

A) Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a Bachelor's Degree and two (2) years of working in Human Resources in a school setting preferably; or:

B) Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with an Associate's Degree and four (4) years of working in Human Resources in a school setting preferably; or:

C) An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B).
