Job Responsibilities:
The Coordinator facilitates support and growth of assigned services. The Coordinator is responsible for his/her teams(s), for delivering quality services to customers, and for the development of good working relationships both within the team(s) and with customers. The Coordinator considers the overall needs of the service area and assigns tasks to team members.
Customer Service Delivery
1.Coordinates user meetings and training for all assigned applications
2. Coordinates team member participation in planning sessions with both school district and BOCES personnel consistent with the mandated BOCES project planning process
3. Coordinates revision and publication of user manuals and training materials
4. Coordinates effort to correct and resolve problems associated with assigned service area
5. Markets specific services to potential users
6. Coordinates web presence for assigned services
7. Researches and presents evaluations of functionality and cost accounting analysis for new or expanded services
8. Facilitates delivery of services to various districts outside of the WNYRIC area, as appropriate
Internal Relations
1. Motivates and directs internal personnel as they make ongoing improvements to assigned services so that service delivery aligns with changing customer needs and with evolving vision of the organization.
2. Evaluates software enhancements suggested by customers and/or team members for quality, consistency and usefulness
3. Prioritizes the work of the team
4. Reviews and coordinates the preparation of timelines for project implementation and, where appropriate, data processing cycles
5. Actively participates in all committees involving assigned services
6. Supervises (by setting achievable and verifiable short-term goals and monitoring accomplishments) and evaluates non-certificated team members at the discretion of the Manager
7. Gathers and summarizes data useful in budget preparation; tracks participation in assigned services; monitors budget expenditure, assuring that team members have the resources they need to deliver services.
Other Duties
1. Coordinates with various governmental agencies concerning assigned services
2. Represents WNYRIC and its services at users’ meetings and at regional and national conferences
3. Initiates and follows up on negotiations with vendors for new or expanded services
4. Assists with the Data Warehouse initiative, as appropriate
5. Assists the Manager in determining staffing needs and implementing the hiring process
6. Other duties may be assigned that are relevant to the civil service job description for this title.

- Job Qualifications
Minimum Civil Service Qualifications:
There is no civil service examination required for this position for the duration of the NY HELPS Program. Candidates must meet the minimum civil service qualifications for a NY HELPS appointment as follows:
A) Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a Master's degree and four (4) years of information technology experience involving software applications training, methods of delivery and customer service, two (2) years involving the general supervision of the day to day activities of staff; OR;
B) Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a Bachelor's degree and six (6) years of information technology experience involving software applications training, methods of delivery and customer service, four (4) years involving the general supervision of the day to day activities of staff; OR;
C) An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B).
Additional Qualifications:

Experience in providing support and training for a student management system software, preferably eSchoolData, and related products.

The ability to work well with others at all levels of an organization.
