Job Responsibilities:
The Principal Stores Clerk is an employee with a wide range of experience with inventory processes and procedures. The Principal Stores Clerk exercises leadership and independent decision-making skills in regards to the assigned duties. The Principal Stores Clerk maintains and strives to create new documented procedures, when appropriate. Therefore, (s)he must also have an excellent grasp of the Erie 1 BOCES Central Installations Services (CIS) environment and its processes. It is imperative that this person is proficient with Real Asset Management (RAMI) software and Wincap Financial System Software/Internals.
1. Responsible for the development, maintenance, installation, implementation and support of the Real Asset Management Database (RAMI) and all of its processes.
2. Documents problem analysis and solutions while collaborating with team members.
3. Import new purchase orders from WinCap into RAMI, repairing any problems that arise during this process.
4. Maintain records of “live” inventory.
5. Program and maintain hand held scanners (used to import inventory records).
6. Maintain status of delivery information for all purchase orders prepared for WNYRIC Technology Services, contacting vendors when necessary.

8. Approve purchase orders for payment.
9. Work with Project Managers to ensure their daily reports are correct.
10. Generate district inventory reports. Submit these reports to district Business Official or Technology Coordinator, when requested.
11. Provide over site to CIS Warehouse staff when Manager, Security, Facility Operations & Material Logistics is not at Education Campus.
12. Act as a liaison between CIS/WNYRIC teams and districts when inventory/warranty questions arise.
13. Review current processes being used in RAMI. Make suggestions for improvement.
14. Send notifications of outages or the need for maintenance to the appropriate people, when the situation arrives.
15. Provide training to all Erie 1 BOCES personnel on the use of RAMI database.
16. Work with Project Managers, Account Liaisons and CSR’s to schedule all technology equipment deliveries to school districts.
17. Act as backup to MCTSS doing Configurations for District/Internal Projects.
18. Other duties may be assigned that are relevant to the civil service job description for this title
