Hours:  37.5 weekly
8:00AM – 4:00PM

The Specialist will aid in the overall promotion and marketing efforts for Instructional Services and its divisions (Career and Technical Education, Exceptional Education, Workforce Development). This includes the development of print and digital publications, promotional videos and photography, social media content curation, support for events and activities, and more. The work is performed under the general supervision of the Assistant Superintendent and Division Directors and in conjunction with the Communication Coordinator for Instructional Services.

Job Responsibilities: 

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Internal/External Communications:

Assists in the promotion of divisional programming and services to education partners and external stakeholder groups (schools, counselors, community organizations, business partners, etc.). Supports the creation, publication, and distribution of internal and external divisional communications, including print and digital media, videos, and social media content.


Public Relations Support:

Assists in enhancing internal and external communication of programs and services through digital technology and in-person events. Prepares materials and supports the management of public information displays and events for the division.

Presentations / Events / Outreach:

Supports the Coordinator in preparing presentations for community organizations, stakeholder groups, school districts, and student groups. Assists with logistics and operations for recruitment and awareness events and activities as needed.

Website Development Support:

Maintains and updates divisional website content under the guidance of the Communication Coordinators and Division Directors.

Social Media Support:

Assists in managing social media platforms by creating and curating content, analyzing data, and making recommendations for engagement strategies.

Brand Support:

Works collaboratively across the organization with all key divisional communicators to maintain cohesive branding and messaging. Organizational Support: Supports the Communications Coordinators in representing Instructional Services on committees and assignments as needed, contributing to communication efforts and organizational goals.

The work is performed under the general supervision of the Assistant Superintendent and Division Directors.

Responsible for promotion of divisional programming and services to education partners and external stakeholder groups (schools, counselors, community organizations, business partners, etc.) and the creation, publication and distribution of internal and external divisional communications, including both promotion and marketing materials (videos, print media, social media content, press releases, etc.).

Seeks opportunities to enhance internal and external communication of programs and services through press, digital technology and in-person public events. Acts as liaison between external stakeholder groups and the division. Manages public information displays and events for the division. 
 

Presentations / Events / Outreach:

Presents to community organizations, stakeholder groups, school districts and student groups on behalf of recruitment and awareness initiatives for Instructional Services and accompanying divisions. Provides support for events and activities as needed. 
 

Website Development:

Oversees the development and maintenance of divisional website content, both internally and externally. 

Social Media Management:

Manages and expands social media presence and platforms. Uses data and evidence to identify target audiences, times, and types of media to utilize. 
 

Brand Management:

Works collaboratively across the organization with all key divisional communicators to maintain cohesive branding and messaging. 
 

Miscellaneous:

Performs other duties as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent and Division Directors.
